FAQ
-
What type of paper and paints do you use?
I use 100% cotton rag cold pressed watercolour paper 300 gsm. Paints are sourced from the USA and Japan.
-
How do you prepare the paper for painting with watercolour paint?
All paper is prepared by firstly stretching it using water applied by a sponge it is then gum taped to a hard board before being left to slowly dry and set in controlled conditions.
-
How do you package and ship the painting?
All paintings are put into a clear "cello" sleeve. As the larger paintings are too big to be sent in standard protective postage boxes, I make a protective folder out of polyfoam before wrapping it for shipping. Smaller paintings are placed onto a polyfoam backing board and sent in a rigid mailer. Paintings are shipped via registered Australia Post.
-
How can I frame the painting?
The paintings can either be floated or set within a mat board.
-
How do I care for the painting before and after framing?
Full care instructions are sent with each painting
